When a card in a tableau is face up, it is available for play. Otherwise, if they reach a point where no more moves can be made, but cards remain in the tableau, the player loses. If the player is able to move all the cards to the four foundations, they win. The game ends when the player moves all the cards from the tableaus to the foundations OR if the player is unable to make any more moves. There is not a set order in which moves must occur as long as the rules are followed. Once the game is set-up, the player can begin to play. Room for 4 stacks of cards or “foundations” should be available, one for each of the 4 suits. Tableaus should be laid out vertically so the value and suit of each face-up card can be seen and the number of face-down cards in each is clear. Tableau 6 – 6 face-down cards five face-up cards.
